Introducing Modeletto to our friends of the flock, the female led Kiwi company giving us an excuse to put our phones down and find joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Dreamt up during Covid with a simple mission – to bring play to everyone’s day, the mother-daughter duo wanted their community to refocus on creativity and connection through art-therapy. Modeletto – meaning ‘to model’ in Italian, brings together mindfulness and fun with their air-dry pottery kits. Our favourite would have to be the Modeletto candle making kit!
Modeletto perfectly captures what it means to anchor yourself in the moment and make treasured memories with the people you love. It’s made for Friday girls’ night in, lazy Sunday afternoons, and long sun-kissed days….
And like everything is best enjoyed with a glass of Babydoll wine!

Our favourite Babydoll wine picks of vintage 24!
It’s been an exciting time at Seaview with Spring showing signs of new life already.🌺 The wildflowers can feel the season change, slowly waking from their winter sleep between the bud bursting grape vines. Each day feels longer and brighter, butterflies are returning to the swan plants in Butterfly Gully, while the Babydoll sheep have been busy tending to their newborn lambs. We’ve been busy too… bottling our vintage 2024 wines.🎉
Vintage 2024 was another one for the history books, with a hot, dry summer and low rainfall impacting the Marlborough region. Early spring frosts, cooler temperatures during flowering, and prolonged dry conditions meant the yield was smaller than usual. The good news is, these unique seasonal conditions have produced wines of exceptional quality that we are so excited to share with you.
Nat’s pick: ’24 Babydoll Rosé
I’m loving the new Babydoll Rosé, made from a blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. It’s loaded with juicy notes of pomegranate, strawberry shortcake and it has a fresh and fruity palate. A perfect wine to share with friends enjoying a catch up on a sunny afternoon. I pair this with my favourite spring salad mix with goats cheese and a strawberry balsamic reduction to top it off. Yummo!
Ruby’s pick: ’24 Babydoll Sauvignon Blanc
The 2024 Babydoll Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of Wairau and Awatere fruit, giving us an excellent balance of tropical fruits and bright herbals. This wine perfectly captures the vibrant, lively and cheeky personalities of our babydoll sheep at the Seaview vineyard. The Babydoll Sauvignon Blanc pairs great with fresh seafood, chicken salads or grilled haloumi. A deliciously different combination as we head into the summer months!
We hope you enjoy our new wines!
Love,
Babydoll Sauvignon Blanc

What a weekend! This year we returned to Splore with our Babydoll Cocktail Making Sessions 🍹. We were so stoked at how many of you made us a part of your Splore experience – the creativity and great vibes were definitely flowing at the festival at Tāpapakanga. 💃🕺
Our Babydoll Cocktail Making Sessions were run by winemaker Ruby McManaway, who had a bit of fun with our wines, creating the Babydoll Flirtini, Rosé Lemonade and Just Peachy cocktails. Check out the cocktail recipes and a bit more about Ruby’s experience at her first Splore! 🎉🌺
How was your Splore experience with Babydoll?
Splore with Babydoll was epic. It was awesome to be there representing the Babydoll brand and its’ wines, everyone at Splore loved Babydoll which was incredibly cool, having been a part of making the wines.
What was your favourite Feasty dress up?
Everyone really puts in a lot of effort, lots of glitter, sequins, feathers and even neon lights! No favourite fits, just blown away with how much effort goes into every single outfit.
How were the Cocktail Making Sessions?
I hosted the Cocktail Making Sessions this year, it was great to catch-up with everyone that came and talk wines, cocktails and the story behind the Babydoll sheep! We made three cocktails; the first one was called a ‘Flirtini’ using our Babydoll Sparkling. The Second cocktail was a ‘Rose Lemonade’ using the Babydoll Rose, and the third cocktail was the ‘Just Peachy’, using Babydoll Pinot Gris – a total crowd pleaser.
What was your favourite bit about Splore?
How happy and carefree everyone is. It is the most beautiful setting at Tāpapakanga. The Babydoll bar and hang out space was beautiful, seeing it for the first time was a highlight.
What was your favourite part of the festival?
The Powhiri lead by John Minty was beautiful and incredibly embracing. A huge amount of people gathered on the banks surrounding the main stage for it, I felt very lucky to witness it, truly a special way to open the festival.
I can’t say enough how cool this event is, everyone needs to experience Splore at least once!

Nothing beats a delicious spread of nibbles, alongside a lovely chilled glass of rosé. Rosé is best shared with friends, so our friend Melie from Melie’s Kitchen has paired it with a stunning spread of dips and salads designed to share.
The smoked salmon, horseradish & sumac pate is a real crowd pleaser, pretty n’ pink alongside some crunchy pickled radishes. The caramelised onion & parmesan dip is a fancy take on a kiwi-classic, topped with spicy, smoky chilli & garlic oil. The charred red pepper, cherry tomato & pomegranate salad with feta is a beautiful, colourful salad perfect for the festive celebrations. Served with some crunchy za’atar Lebanese breads + focaccia – perfect!
